Big News

I know I was a bit absent last week and I'm sorry - but in my defense I've got a really, really, really good excuse...

At the end of August my boyfriend and I will be backpacking through Europe for four months!

It's very exciting but travel preparation has turned out to be a bit more work than we anticipated. Since travel is expensive enough, we needed to rent out our place to cover the mortgage and other expenses while we are away. We were lucky enough to find great renters right away but had to be out by July 1st. As a result the last week and a half has been extremely busy and we're couch surfing for the few weeks until we depart.

What does this all mean for Strawberry Roan? 

I want to continue posting, scaled back a bit to accommodate my travel schedule, and try to find a few guest writers from the pool of very talented people I have the pleasure to know.  My boyfriend and I will also be travel writing together at our new blog Have Blog, Will Travel (still working out a few kinks). 

Who knows, perhaps a few posts might overlap between the travel and design world, and if so I'll make sure to keep you in the loop.
