Ok, so I know that I'm not necessarily the 'target market' for back to school advertisements (I've been out of school for a few years) but that still doesn't stop me from getting excited for new fall clothes.
September always feels like the beginning of the year - I don't know if that will ever go away - and it makes me want to spruce up my wardrobe, change my hairstyle, and get back on the exercise wagon. Fall is also my favorite season. I love dressing in layers, perfect for our crisp mornings and warmer days.
Although I'm not overly trendy when it comes to my wardrobe (a belted cardigan is about as risky as I get) I've added leggings and skinny jeans with boots to my shopping list this year. Im trying to take some more risks but always seem to revert back to my comfort zone -ballet flats, dark denim, and bright sweaters.
I tried on a pair of skinny jeans last week and they didn't look as horrible as I had expected - I see some dark ones like this in my future. Also, coral pieces like this cardigan are a must!

The mix of dark denim, chocolate boots, plaid, and chunky sweater makes for a perfect casual and cozy outfit.

I love the leggins and yellow boots! A longer wrap sweater is a must for winter - I think I could make this work for work...

Love, love, love this outfit! Cropped demin, a little sparkle on the tank, and a yellow cardigan! Add in a quiet hour with some tea and you've got the perfect Sunday morning!

I love this creamy belted cardigan and the brown leather belt is fantastic. The perfect outfit for in-between fall days that are still a bit warm.

My usual go-to pants are boot cut, denim, and dark. I really like the slouchy layered top and small leather belt.

This green coat is an attention grabber! The white top and dark jeans don't take away from the coat but also have enough detail to work on their own.

Enjoy!
