I really enjoy this little nook - perfectly situated in an otherwise unconventional space. The painted out brick walls and floor to ceiling windows make the space nice and bright and offset the gorgeous pillows. The perfect little spot to peruse pinterest on a rainy day.

Perfection Found - Moroccan Escape

If you watch enough design shows, and trust me I have, you'll quickly pick up on a common theme - the bedroom should be a retreat from daily life. You'll also catch a serious case of home envy and immediately feel insecure about your own abode. 

This bedroom encompasses the retreat feeling - an ornate doorway and tiled floor adds an exotic touch, yet the monochromatic palette is cool and calming.

It's no big secret that I absolutely adore Lucite, I also equally love mixing old and new, so this gorgeous little landing made my heart skip a beat, or two. And why shouldn't it? An open staircase, warm wooden floors, buckets of natural light from a ceiling skimming wall of windows... the bones of this space are so lovely it would be pretty difficult to mess up. Finished off with a hanging Lucite chair and furry white rug, it's not overdone or too sparse - simply perfection.

This kitchen makes me thing of summertime in the Hamptons (not that I've ever been) with fresh squeezed lemonade and homemade potato salad. It just so happens to belong to Ina Garten, you may know her as the Barefoot Contessa, and has won all kinds of design awards. With those exposed beams, chunky stone counter tops, bead-board island, and rustic bar-stools I can see why - and I would like one for myself. Please.

Perfection Found - Bohemian Bedroom

It's music festival season and seeing photos from Coachella, king of the concert circuit, have stirred up some emotions I'm not used to dealing with.

First, and most obvious, I am insanely jealous of everyone lucky enough to attend and take in the fabulous performances. The weather looks sunny, the fashion unique, and the performances unbelievable. I can't wait to see what they'll do next year. 

Secondly, I seem to be growing an appreciation for quilted patterns, tasseled throw blankets, and mixed and matched layers of colour, texture, and print. Normally a lover of minimalist, clean, and modern looks, I'm not sure where this new appreciation for bohemian design will lead.

However I'm sure I will revert back to my love of clean lines soon - it's only a matter of time. Until then, enjoy this colourful bedroom.

Perfection Found - Collected Living Room

Where do I start with this lovely living room? Upon first inspection a few fabulous pieces stand out - the chrome pendant light, hung nice and low to be admired by all, a graphic print framed in black plays perfectly off of the eye catching area rug, and an airy glass cabinet blends seamlessly into the far corner but still has something special to offer with great hardware. 

However to admire the true mix and match genius in this space you have to look a bit further. An average sofa is given some oomph with an assortment of printed pillows, two basic frosted glass tables have more impact when grouped together, and basic white walls are an after thought thanks to the amazing architectural window. 

This room perfectly summarizes all that can be achieved with some mixing and matching - embrace those hand-me-down pieces, offset them with a few key elements, and you are on your way to extraordinary.

Perfection Found - Reading Nook

Is there anything better than curling up with a good book? In bed on a Saturday morning, snuggled up on the couch in the evening, sprawled out on a lawn chair soaking up the sun... All wonderful options however this nook may be the best I've seen yet.
